Rolling Hills

A 180-metre island at golden hour. The terrain rolls, the water frames the boundary, and the scoring corral pulls sheep in with a lightning effect.

Terrain changes the problem

On a flat pasture, herding is mostly about position. Rolling Hills adds ridges, dips, and shoreline pressure. Sheep can crest a hill and break on the descent; the dog spends stamina climbing; the camera has to read both flock shape and land shape.

The objective sits on the north side of the island. Push sheep into the stone-framed corral and the effect pulls them out of play. At high flock counts, the corral becomes a chokepoint and the spill is the challenge.

Scene shape

  • 180-metre island with rolling heightfield terrain.
  • Golden-hour sky, shoreline water, grass wind, trees, and rocks.
  • Corral objective for scored modes.

Best for

Rolling Hills is the main visual read of Sheep Dog Sim: strong enough for screenshots, small enough for quick rounds, and varied enough to expose the flock behavior beyond the starter pasture.
